Fadhilat Berdoa

[Surah Ghafir:60]

1- Allah melewat-lewatkan doanya
2- Allah menyimpankan doa itu di Akhirat
3- Allah menjauhkannya daripada kejahatan/keburukan sepertinya.

Wallahu a’lam.

Tha Basics of Islam

Omar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: ‘Once we were sitting in the company of Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) when there appeared a person dressed in extremely white clothes and having extremely black hair. No signs of fatigue of journey appeared on his face and he was not known to any of us. He sat down near the Prophet (pbuh) leaning his knees against the knees of the Prophet (pbuh).

“O, Muhammad (pbuh)! Tell me about Islam.”

He (pbuh) replied: “Islam is that you bear witness to the fact that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad(pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah; that you perform prayers, pay zakat, observe fasting of Ramadan and perform Hajj provided you have the ability to make the journey”.

He replied: “You have spoken the truth”.

We were to surprised to see that he had asked him and confirmed the correctness of the answers.

He then inquired: “Tell me about faith.”

He (pbuh) said: “It is that you believe in Allah, and his Books, and His Messengers and the Last Day and that you believe in destiny, the good of it and the bad of it.”

He said: “You have spoken the truth.”

He then inquired: “Tell me about Ihsan.”

He (pbuh) said: “It is that you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him; and if not, he is certainly watching you.”

[He inquired: “Inform me about the Hour”]

He (pbuh) replied: “I have no more knowledge thereof than you.”

He inquired: “Inform me about the signs of the Hour”

He said: “He (pbuh) said: “They are, that a maid-servant bears a child to her master, and that you will find the barefoot and deprived competing in construction.”

Then he departed. The Messenger of Allah kept silent for some time then addressed me: “O, Omar! Do you know who he was?”

I replied: “Allah and His Messenger know better.”

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “He was Gabriel; he has come to teach you your religion.”

Destiny = Allah already knows and records everything that will happen until the Day of Judgement.
